Step 6: Payments, deposit and tax

  1. Step 6

Payments, deposit and tax: Here you decide whether customers pay online when they book and how prices and taxes are handled. Connecting a payment gateway is optional: you can finish this step without one, and online payments simply stay off.

  2. Payment gateway

Choose your payment provider, enter the keys from your provider account and press Save gateway. Your keys are stored securely and are never shown again; a saved key only appears as Configured. You can change them later under All integrations.

  3. Currency

The three-letter currency code for your prices and payments, such as USD, EUR or GBP.

  4. Deposit

Choose what customers pay online when they book: nothing, a fixed amount, a percentage of the price, or the full price in advance. A deposit reduces no-shows but needs a connected payment gateway to be collected online.

  5. Deposit value

The deposit amount in your currency, or the percentage of the price, depending on the deposit type. A fixed deposit is never higher than the price of the booking.

  6. Tax rate

The tax percentage that applies to your services, for example 20. Enter 0 if you do not charge tax.

  7. Tax mode

Included in price means your prices already contain the tax. Added to price means the tax is added on top of the price you entered.
