Where your booking business is configured

  1. Where your booking business is configured

Business details, booking rules and deposit policy, tax, notifications and reminders, calendar and website connections, branches and security all live here, split into tabs. Work through them once during setup; the booking rules and reminders are what customers notice most.

  2. Each tab is one area

Business, Booking, Tax, Notifications, Connections, Locations and Security. You do not need to fill them all at once; start with Booking and Notifications. Brand and theme are on the Appearance page, and payment providers are under Integrations.

  3. Business tab

Business name, time zone, 12 or 24-hour time, phone, email, address and currency. Check the time zone before you take bookings, because appointment times follow it. Logo, colours and theme are on the Appearance page.

  4. Booking rules tab

Slot interval, how soon and how far ahead customers can book, the free cancellation window and a no-show threshold that blocks repeat no-shows from booking online. The deposit policy is here too; online deposits need a connected payment gateway.

  5. Tax tab

Set the VAT rate and whether your prices already include VAT or have it added on top. A rate of 0% means no VAT is applied.

  6. Notifications tab

Choose the language of customer reminders, turn on the email reminder (24 hours before) and SMS reminder (2 hours before), write your own SMS text and connect an SMS gateway. Your mail server (SMTP) is set here too, with its own save button.

  7. Connections tab

Copy your private calendar link (.ics) to see appointments in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar, and the embed code that puts the booking form on another website. Regenerating the calendar link stops the old one.

  8. Locations tab

Add your branches and schedule branch closures for holidays or renovations; during a closure nobody can book at that branch. Branches and closures are saved as soon as you add them.

  9. Security tab

Require two-factor sign-in for your team, set how long a session lasts and limit staff access to listed IP addresses. The owner account is never locked out by the IP list.

  10. Save settings

Stores the Business, Booking, Tax, Notifications and Security fields in one go. Branches, closures, the calendar link and the SMTP mail settings are saved with their own buttons.
