Redirects

  1. Redirects

Send visitors from an old address to a new one, for example after you rename a page or move from another website. A rule only applies where your site would otherwise show "page not found". This tour walks through the page.

  2. Add a rule

Enter the old path, then the new address: a path of this site or a full https address. Choose Permanent (301) for a move that stays, or Temporary (302), and press Add rule.

  3. Add many

Open this to paste many rules at once, one per line: the old path, a space, then the new address. Press Add lines to save them.

  4. Search

Type part of a path or address and press Enter to find a rule.

  5. Your rules

Each rule shows the old path, where it sends visitors, its type and how many visits it has redirected. Use the bin to delete a rule.

  6. Rule limit

How many rules you have and how many your site can hold.
