Billing details

  1. Billing details

The details you enter here appear on every invoice you issue to your customers, and they set how your invoices are taxed and numbered. Correct billing details keep your invoices valid for your customers and your accountant. All fields are optional and can be edited later in your settings.

  2. Billing address

Your company address as it should be printed on invoices.

  3. Tax number

Your VAT or tax identification number, printed on invoices when filled in.

  4. Country

The country your business is registered in. Picking a country also pre-selects its currency on the Language & region step; open that step again and save it if you want to switch.

  5. Default VAT rate

The tax percentage applied by default, for example to the sample services created in the next step. Enter 0 if you do not charge VAT; you can still set a different rate per service.

  6. VAT mode

Included in price means the prices you enter already contain VAT. Added on top means VAT is calculated and added to your prices at checkout and on the invoice.

  7. Invoice prefix

Letters placed before every invoice number, such as INV, so your invoices are easy to recognize. Up to 12 characters; INV is used if you leave it empty.

  8. Next invoice number

The number your next invoice will get. Useful if you are moving from another system and want to continue your numbering. It can only move forward, so it never clashes with invoices you have already issued.
