Return / Refund
Return / Refund
Take back items from a POS sale and refund the customer; the current warehouse is shown on the right. The arrow returns to the register. This tour walks through a refund step by step.
Find sale
Enter the sale number from the receipt (for example POS-000123) and press Enter or Find sale. The sale lines appear below.
Items to return
For each line, enter how many to return, up to the returnable quantity (already returned items are deducted). Keep Restock ticked to put the items back into stock; untick it for damaged goods.
Refund method and reason
Choose how the money goes back: cash, card, voucher, bank transfer or on account. It defaults to the method of the original sale. Add an optional note as the reason.
Process refund
Check the refund total and click Process refund. Card refunds are sent to SumUp automatically when possible; if not, you are told to refund the card manually or that it will be retried.
Refund completed
Shows the return number and refunded amount. Print receipt opens the return receipt for the customer.
