1. Bills of materials

   The “recipe” for each product you make: which components and how many go into one unit. Click New to create a BOM, or open one to edit its parts — production and costing both rely on these.

2. At a glance

   How many products have a recipe defined and how many components they use in total.

3. Each recipe

   One product’s bill of materials — open it to edit the components and quantities that go into a unit.

4. Each BOM row

   Each row is a product’s bill of materials — the product it makes and how many components it uses. Open one to edit its parts.

5. Create a BOM

   Click New to define a product’s recipe — pick the product, then add its components and quantities.
