Gift cards
Gift cards
Sell gift cards, give store credit and follow what is still unspent. A sold card is money you owe until it is spent, so it is not counted as revenue; revenue is counted when a card pays for something. This tour walks through the page.
Sell, give credit, settings
Sell a card to a customer, or give store credit. Depending on your business you can also spend a card on a record here. The gear opens the settings, such as the amounts offered and how long cards stay valid.
What you owe
Per currency: what is still unspent on all cards, how much of it has expired, and what was sold and spent in the last 30 days.
Find a card
Search by name, email or the last four characters of the code. The buttons show all cards, cards waiting to be handed over, expired cards that still have value, or closed cards.
Your cards
Each row shows the card, who it is for, its balance, until when it is valid and how it was delivered. Click a row to open its history and actions, such as making a new code, sending it again, correcting the balance, changing the end date or closing the card. Each of these asks for a reason.
Tax on gift cards
No tax is charged when a card is sold; tax is charged on what the card buys, under your normal settings. Check with your accountant if your country taxes single-purpose vouchers at sale.
