Trial balance

1. Trial balance

   All account balances in one list — total debits must equal total credits. It’s the starting point for your balance sheet and income statement.

2. Balanced?

   A badge confirming total debits equal total credits — the check your books must always pass.

3. Apply

   Set the date range and apply — the balances refresh to that period.

4. The columns

   Each account with its debit and credit totals side by side.

5. Each account

   One account’s balance — all of them together must have debits equal to credits.

6. Choose the period

   Pick a from and to date, then click Filter to show the balances for that period.
