Page designer

  1. Page designer

Build a custom page, such as About or Terms, from ready-made sections with a live preview. A new page starts with a choice of ready templates or a blank page. This tour walks you through the editor.

  2. Desktop or phone preview

Switch the preview between a desktop view and a phone frame. The refresh button next to it reloads the preview.

  3. Open the page

Opens the public page in a new tab. It works once the page has been saved and shows the saved version.

  4. Undo and redo

Step back and forward through your section edits. Ctrl/Cmd+Z and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z do the same.

  5. Save the page

Saves the page settings and all its sections; saving a new page creates it. A page title is required. A dot on the button means there are unsaved changes.

  6. Live preview

Shows your sections as they will look on your site. Click a section to edit it, use its small toolbar to move, hide, translate or open its settings, and use the + bar to add a section at that spot.

  7. Page settings

Give the page a title and, if you like, a URL slug. The slug is generated from the title when left empty, and the full public address is shown under the field.

  8. Published switch

When off, the page is hidden from the public site. You can keep working on it and publish it later.

  9. Header link and order

Show in header adds a link to this page in your storefront header. Sort order below decides its position: lower numbers appear first.

  10. Section list

The sections of this page, top to bottom. Drag or use the arrows to reorder, the eye to hide, the bin to remove and Add section to insert a new one. Click a section to edit it.

  11. Section settings

Edit the texts, images and options of the selected section, with a translate button for your other languages. Back to content returns to the list.

  12. Settings tab

Title, address, visibility, header link and order of this page.

  13. Sections tab

The list of sections on this page and the settings of the one you select.
